What is Direct Cremation? A cremation without viewing, of any kind, and/or without a funeral ceremony or rite, prior to the cremation. If you wish to have a viewing or funeral services prior to the cremation, please contact a Traditional Funeral Home to assist you with the arrangements.
What do I do in the event a loved one passes? If a loved one passes make sure that you provide the facility with our Name and Phone number. Once we are notified by the facility or by you, we will begin to take your loved one into our care. We will collect the necessary information to complete the cremation packet to be emailed to you. This should be completed within a few hours of our notification. Our cremation packet will have further instructions and time lines when you receive it.
How do I pay for the Cremation? We make this part easy. Once we have the total price for the cremation and death certificates we will send you an email with the total and a convenient way for you to pay with your credit or debit card. Payment must be secured before the cremation can be performed. Payment should be made when the email is received. We are not able to “hold” until money can be gathered.

Harris County Cremations realizes that you have many options when selecting a funeral home. If it is your wish to arrange a direct cremation, there is no need to pay the higher prices charged by the traditional full service funeral homes or other cremation services. At Harris County Cremations, we only do Direct Cremations. It is our mission to make the arrangement process as simple, convenient and affordable as possible. We understand that the loss of a loved one is a difficult event and we do not wish to burden you with costly fees and long drawn out arrangements.
Special Conditions: In order to keep prices low, Harris County Cremations only serves families who have had a loved one pass away in a Hospital, Nursing Home, Hospice Facility, Funeral Home or is located at the Medical examiner cremation permit – $25.00; Mailing cremated remains – $175.00; Additional death certificates – $4.00 each (1 is included). In home removal - $55.00; Storage or refrigeration of unembalmed remains after three days is $100.00/day. If the loved one weighs 275-475 lbs the base fee increases to $3,620.00; Additional Mileage ($3.00 Per Mile Over 25 Miles From Crematory), Expedited Direct Cremation - $250.00 (5-10 Business Days). Expedited Death Certificate - $150.00 (5-10 Business Days), Direct Cremation with in-person arrangements - $3,185.00, Direct Cremation with an Urn provided by our firm - $1,200.00.
Please keep in mind that Harris County Cremations is a continuation of Dynasty Memorial Mortuary in which it contracts with other third party crematories, mortuary transportation services, and embalming facilities for Funeral Homes. Harris County Cremations does not service the public independently or directly and does not write pre needs on this promotional pricing. Harris County Cremations is an online direct cremation service only.
